Mission

Client-centred approach
At MC Occupational Therapy, we take on a full client-centred approach. This means that we use collaborative approaches aimed at enabling occupation for various types of clients, including individuals, groups, corporations or others that may require occupational therapy. As licensed occupational therapists, we do our utmost to demonstrate respect for clients, involve clients in decision-making, advocate with and for clients in meeting their needs, and recognize our clients’’ experience and knowledge.

Integrity and ethics
Our first priority is the best interests and well-being of our clients. We have taken an oath to not harm or act against the best interests of clients, even when the best interests of the clients are in conflict with their own self-interest. As health care practitioners, we regard the truth and truthfulness as the basis of trust in our relationships with our clients. All our client’s personal and private information remains strictly confidential-unless overriding reasons enforce a moral or legal right to disclose information.

Accountability and professionalism
All our therapists are accountable through the ongoing development of continued competence throughout their careers. We firmly demonstrate accountability with the qualities of commitment, leadership, and sound professional knowledge. We continually endeavour to attain the highest level of knowledge and skills required within Occupational Therapy. In addition, we identify opportunities for enhancing teamwork to effectively address the full range of needs and issues experienced by people living with limitations, disabilities and dysfunction.
